Are you a passionate disability carer seeking a rewarding career opportunity? We are in search of talented individuals who are driven, excel at acquiring new clients and want to be part of our thriving business. We are currently seeking dynamic individuals – outgoing and enthusiastic new team members to work in our activities team, on our Community outings and overnight trips. This position is permanent part time and shifts maybe a combination of weekdays, weekends and evenings.
An important part of our Centre based Social Program – you will be passionate and sociable and part of a tight knit, high performing team where you will work with our clients (young adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities). We understand the transformative power of compassionate care and the positive impact it can have on our clients.
We believe in creating enriched personal relationships while assisting to build life-skills.
Skills and Experience:
· Strong communication skills with all Stakeholders
· High level of empathy
· Experience in a similar role not essential but you may have worked as a teacher, activities officer or as a group instructor with excellent client acquisition skills
· Strong sense of community and engagement
· Desire to go above and beyond
· Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
