Escape the routine and join us for a breathtaking day trip to the stunning Glasshouse Mountains! Set in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, this distinctive set of ancient volcanic peaks are a sight to behold.
There are several peaks in the Glasshouse Mountains, including Mount Beerwah, Mount Coonowrin (also known as Crookneck), Mount Tibrogargan, and Mount Ngungun.
The mountains themselves provide a range of walking tracks that cater to different fitness levels, offering everything from gentle forest walks to rigorous climbs with rewarding panoramic views at the summits.
The region is also popular for its picnic spots, lookouts, and photographic vistas, making it a favorite destination for both locals and tourists looking to experience a piece of Queensland’s natural beauty.

What to Expect

What to Bring
Comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, sunscreen, a hat, and your camera or smartphone for photos. Weather can be changeable, so a light rain jacket is also a good idea.
There are trails available for all fitness levels, but some physical activity is involved, so a basic level of fitness is recommended.
Price includes farm entry and lunch, other personal expenses are not included.
Pricing & Inclusions
The Participant price covers the cost of food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnnys Place.
Bookings close one day before the activity unless sold out prior.

Shuttles
Johnny H Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to match the rest of the group.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities and for those held inside Johnny’s Place, at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
