This unit is designed to provide clients with valuable insights into the dynamics of group interaction and teamwork, offering opportunities to deepen their understanding of societal structures and the significance of collaborative efforts within them. Through engaging activities and discussions, participants will explore the role of teamwork in various contexts, gaining practical skills and strategies to navigate group settings effectively and contribute meaningfully to shared objectives.

Participating in Groups: Learn the importance of active involvement in group settings, including contributing ideas, supporting team goals, and fostering a sense of belonging.

Benefits of Groups: Explore the advantages of being part of a group, such as mutual support, diverse perspectives, increased productivity, and shared learning experiences.

Similarities and Differences: Understand how diversity within groups, including different backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, can enrich collaborative efforts and lead to innovative solutions.

Teamwork Overview: Gain an overview of teamwork principles, including effective communication, cooperation, and coordination, essential for achieving common goals.

Effective Groups: Identify characteristics of successful groups, such as clear goals, mutual respect, open communication, and supportive leadership, fostering a positive and productive group dynamic.

Barriers to Teamwork: Learn to recognise and overcome common barriers to effective teamwork, such as communication breakdowns, conflicting priorities, lack of trust, and individualistic attitudes.

* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the NSW Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.

Pricing & Inclusions

The NDIS price covers all 11 weeks of the course and will be arranged through a Program of Supports.

Bookings close 3 days before the activity unless sold out prior.
