Independent Me: Building Essential Life Skills

Through this course, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to take control of their lives and achieve greater independence.
What You Will Learn:
Self-Advocacy: Learn to assertively communicate needs, preferences, and rights in various situations, advocating for oneself effectively and confidently.
Resilience: Develop resilience skills to bounce back from setbacks, adapt to change, and overcome obstacles with determination and strength.
Money Management: Gain practical skills and strategies for budgeting, saving, and managing finances to achieve financial independence and security.
Taking Responsibility: Cultivate a sense of accountability for one’s actions and choices, understanding the importance of taking ownership and learning from mistakes.

All clients attending U-Learn will need to bring in their own prepared food for breaks including a lunch meal unless indicated when booking your space.

* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the NSW Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
Pricing & Inclusions
The NDIS price shown is based on July 2023 pricing. This price will be adjusted based on revised July 2024 pricing once available.
The NDIS price covers all 10 weeks of the course and will be arranged through a Program of Supports.
Bookings close 3 days before the activity unless sold out prior.
