Get ready for a winter escape packed with fresh mountain air, snowplay fun and plenty of laughs with your Johnny H crew. We’ll explore the iconic Snowy Mountains with a mix of sightseeing, tobogganing, and snow experiences at both Perisher and Thredbo. Travel, meals and good times are all taken care of – just bring your warm clothes and sense of adventure!
Day 1 – Friday, 8 August 2025
We depart Penrith and travel south via Canberra where we will enjoy lunch and then stop at Cooma to collect our snow gear. From there, we continue on to Berridale to check in at our accommodation, Cottonwood Lodge, before heading into Jindabyne for a group dinner and trip briefing.
Day 2 – Saturday, 9 August 2025
After an early breakfast, we hit the road to Perisher for a full day in the snow. Enjoy the snowplay area with toboggans, or just soak up the alpine views. After lunch at Perisher, we’ll make our way to Thredbo for some extra exploring before returning to the hotel to warm up, relax, and enjoy dinner together.
Day 3 – Sunday, 10 August 2025
On our final morning, we return our snow gear and stop in for lunch at Snowbunny Café before making the drive back to Canberra and onto Penrith for our Nepean travellers. Expect music, snacks and lots of stories from a fantastic weekend in the snow.

Personal spending money is not included. Start and return times will differ for reach region. For this trip, Penrith participants should arrive at Johnny’s Place at 9am on 8 August; the bus will return at approximately 5pm on 10 August. For our Canberra travellers, you should arrive at the Fyshwick Centre at approximately 12pm on 8 August; the bus will return at approximately 12 noon on 10 August. Our team will communicate more accurate times on the return leg.

Pricing & Inclusions
The Participant price covers the cost of all accomodation food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs. Please be aware that the client contribution cost component of this trip is subject to our Cancellation Policy.
The NDIS includes support and return transport from Johnny’s Place. Pricing will vary depending on the region you are travelling from. The NDIS cost component is subject to the standard NDIS cancellation terms.
The Non Face to Face estimate is based on 9 travellers and July 2025 pricing. This price will be adjusted based the final number of travellers.
Bookings close one week before the activity unless sold out prior.

Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* Participation in any activity is subject to an individual risk assessment to ensure safety and suitability. The required level of support, including client-to-worker ratios, will be determined based on the client’s needs and the nature of the activity.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the NSW Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to match the rest of the group.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities and for those held inside Johnny’s Place, at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
