Monday – Team Building and Bowling

Mondays focus on building social capacity and strengthening community participation. Through structured group activities and a community-based outing, participants develop communication skills, teamwork and confidence in navigating new environments.

Morning Focus
The day begins with team-building exercises designed to support communication, cooperation and interpersonal skill development. Activities encourage participants to work collaboratively, build trust, and practise problem-solving within a safe and supportive environment.

Afternoon Focus
In the afternoon, the group travels to a local bowling centre. This community-based activity provides opportunities to develop social awareness, practise turn-taking, follow structured routines and engage in respectful peer interactions – all in a real-world setting that promotes confidence and independence.

  • Build social awareness and teamwork through structured activities

  • Enhance capacity for community participation and routine-based tasks

Who is this for?
The Life Skills Day Program is designed for people aged 16 and over with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability. Working within a small group and led by an experienced facilitator, Johnny H Life Skills supports both school leavers and adults to build the capacity and skills needed for everyday living and increased community participation.

We do our best to minimise any changes but plans may be forced to change due to external staffing, school holiday programming and adverse weather.
