Details
Join us for a fun overnight getaway to Bathurst on Saturday 14 to Sunday 15 March 2026, travelling with a small group for a relaxed and social experience away from home.
We will depart from Penrith by bus and head to Bathurst together, enjoying the journey and settling into a different environment. Over the weekend, participants will spend time sightseeing and exploring Bathurst, getting out into the local community and enjoying shared experiences as a group.
The group will stay in comfortable hotel accommodation and enjoy meals out together. These moments support confidence building, social connection and everyday skills in a supportive and encouraging setting.
The highlight of the weekend is attending a live NRL match on Saturday evening, watching the Penrith Panthers take on the Cronulla Sharks. Being part of the crowd and sharing the excitement of live sport offers a meaningful opportunity to connect with the wider community through a shared interest.
This overnight trip supports NDIS social and community participation by helping participants to:
-
Build friendships and social confidence
-
Feel more comfortable travelling and staying away from home
