Cooking and Recipe Development

Mondays focus on building confidence in the kitchen through practical cooking experiences that support independence and everyday living skills.

Morning Focus

The morning session centres on hands-on cooking. Participants learn how to follow simple recipes, measure ingredients and prepare food safely. Activities include practising basic techniques such as chopping, mixing and using kitchen equipment with support. The aim is to build confidence, routine and familiarity with everyday meal preparation in a structured and supportive environment.

Afternoon Focus

The afternoon continues with guided cooking activities and recipe development. Participants may prepare a second dish, revisit key skills, or begin building a personalised recipe book to support independence at home. Sessions encourage teamwork, communication and problem-solving while reinforcing safe kitchen practices and consistent routines.
