Sunbirds in the Spotlight: Kim McLaughlan

In 2009 Kim McLaughlan asked family friend Maria Cummins if she could join a netball team.

Maria made it her business to make that happen and ten years on Kim is still a valued member of the Sunbirds squad.

Here’s the lowdown on Kim…

Age:  44

Lives: Mount Riverview

Position: Wing Attack (WA)

How long have you been playing with the Sunbirds?  

I’ve been with the Sunbirds from the start, so that’s 10 years.

What do you like about playing netball?

It’s fun to be in a team sport.

Cricketer Pat Cummins is the best!

When you’re not playing netball, what do you like to do?

I enjoy going to discos and to the movies.
