What to Expect
Once in Lake Macquarie, we’ll enjoy getting our feet wet or playing beach cricket at Catherine Hill Bay Beach admiring the former coal-loading jetty. Catherine Hill Bay is an old mining village located at Lake Macquarie. The village is heritage-listed, and the big Jetty is the most recognisable landmark at this beach. The beach also takes its pride in being listed in the 101 Best Australian Beaches.
After tucking into some yummy lunch, explore the network of sea caves and rock pools at Caves Beach. Caves Beach is a popular beach at Lake Macquarie. As you may have guessed by the name, there are several caves along the coastline which you can explore. But there’s more to this beach…It’s a great spot to spend the day. Exploring caves is a great addition to the day. And the surrounds are stunning.
The price includes lunch and snacks. Other personal expenses are not included.
Pricing & Inclusions
- The Participant price covers the cost of food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
- The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnnys Place.
- Bookings close one day before the activity unless sold out prior.
- Please refer to our Cancellation Policy prior to booking.
Shuttles
Johnny H Nepean Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the NSW Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to that required to actively participate in this event.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities and 1:5 for those held inside Johnny’s Place, at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
