Get ready to experience the magic of the season with a Christmas in the City Day Tour! We’re heading into the Sydney CBD for a festive adventure packed with sparkling lights, iconic displays, and plenty of Christmas cheer. From the twinkling tree at Martin Place to the charming markets at The Rocks, this day is all about soaking up the holiday spirit and making merry memories together.
What to Expect
Travel by Train: We’ll be catching the train into the city — no need to worry about parking, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey! (Don’t forget to bring your Opal card — train fares are not included in the cost.)
The Rocks Christmas Markets: Wander through the lively Christmas markets filled with handmade gifts, festive food, and local treasures.
Martin Place Christmas Tree: See Sydney’s famous towering Christmas tree shining bright — the perfect photo stop!
David Jones Christmas Windows: Marvel at the iconic David Jones window displays, bringing holiday stories to life with magical detail.
QVB Christmas Decorations: Step inside the Queen Victoria Building to admire its breathtaking Christmas decorations and magnificent central tree.
Bonus Festive Fun: Depending on what’s on, we may also check out some additional free Christmas events as more details are announced in the coming weeks.

Good to Know
- The Participant price covers the cost of food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
- The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnnys Place.
- Bookings close one day before the activity unless sold out prior.
- Please refer to our Cancellation Policy prior to booking.
Shuttles
Johnny H Nepean Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to match the rest of the group.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities and for those held inside Johnny’s Place, at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
