Join us for an engaging photography day out with Ash, where you’ll have the opportunity to capture stunning beach landscapes, learn new techniques, and develop your photography skills in a supportive environment.
What to Expect
Expert Guidance: Receive hands-on instruction from Ash, a seasoned photographer, who will share tips and tricks to help you improve your shots, with a focus on beach photography.
Scenic Locations: Explore beautiful and diverse locations perfect for capturing breathtaking photos. We’ll start our day with morning tea at Shark Beach, Vaucluse, where you’ll take your first photos of the day. Next, head to The Gap at Watsons Bay, a scenic spot offering more photo opportunities and stunning vistas.
Skill Development: Enhance your photography skills, including composition, lighting, and camera settings, tailored to your experience level. After our morning sessions, enjoy lunch at Bondi Beach with classic fish and chips on the beach. Capture unique shots at Bondi Beach Rock Pool and the beach, including photos with the lifeguards.
Social Interaction: Connect with fellow photography enthusiasts, share ideas, and get inspired by each other’s work. In the afternoon, indulge in a refreshing ice cream treat as we wrap up our outdoor photography adventure.
Relaxing Atmosphere: Enjoy a day immersed in nature and creativity, away from the usual hustle and bustle. We’ll conclude the day back at Johnny’s Place, where you’ll have the chance to review and edit your photos, sharing feedback and tips in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Price includes activity, lunch, and snacks. Other personal expenses are not included.
Pricing & Inclusions
- The Participant price covers the cost of food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
- The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnnys Place.
- Bookings close one day before the activity unless sold out prior.
- Please refer to our Cancellation Policy prior to booking.
Shuttles
Johnny H Nepean Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to match the rest of the group.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities and for those held inside Johnny’s Place, at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
