Join us for a fun and educational day out at Paddy’s Markets, Sydney! Travel together by train from Penrith Station and get ready for an exciting scavenger hunt where teams will hunt down specific items, take creative photos, and learn valuable tips about budgeting and smart spending. After the hunt, explore Chinatown and Darling Harbour, enjoy lunch and afternoon tea, and even have some free time for shopping.
What to Expect
Train Journey from Penrith
We will catch the train from Penrith Station for a social and easy train ride into the heart of Sydney. Catch up with friends and get excited for the day ahead!
Scavenger Hunt at Paddy’s Markets
Split into teams and use your wits to track down a list of items around the market. Take creative photos as proof of each find, complete fun challenges, and put your budgeting skills to the test. It’s all about teamwork, strategy, and having a laugh along the way!
Explore Chinatown & Darling Harbour
After the hunt, wander through Chinatown with its vibrant shops and cultural sights, and then take in the views and attractions of Darling Harbour.
Lunch & Afternoon Tea
Refuel with a delicious lunch and afternoon tea, giving you energy for the afternoon activities and a chance to share stories from the scavenger hunt.
Shopping & Free Time
Finish the day with some free time to explore Paddy’s Markets or nearby shops and pick up souvenirs, gifts, or treats for yourself.

Good to Know
- The Participant price covers the cost of food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
- The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnnys Place.
- Bookings close one day before the activity unless sold out prior.
- Please refer to our Cancellation Policy prior to booking.
Shuttles
Johnny H Nepean Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to match the rest of the group.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities and for those held inside Johnny’s Place, at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
