The Lowdown
Join us for The Ultimate Coastal Road Trip, a scenic and fun-filled day exploring some of the South Coast’s most beautiful spots. From beaches to blowholes and even whale watching, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, relax with friends, and soak in the breathtaking coastal views.
What to Expect
Morning tea at Port Kembla: Kick off the day with a stop at Port Kembla Heritage Park. Enjoy a morning tea break and explore the area’s rich history while taking in the coastal views.
Beach walk at Windang: Take a relaxing stroll along Windang Dog Beach, where you might spot some playful puppies as we enjoy the sand and surf.
Fish and chips lunch: Stop at Peps Takeaway in Lake Illawarra for classic fish and chips before heading to Redall Reserve for a relaxed lunch by the water.
Kiama blowhole and shops: Explore the iconic Kiama blowhole and wander through the charming local shops. It’s the perfect mix of sightseeing and a bit of retail therapy.
Whale watching at Gerringong: Visit the Gerringong Whale Watching platform for a chance to spot whales and snap some photos at the lookout while enjoying afternoon tea.
The price for this event includes transport, morning tea, and lunch, while other personal expenses are not included. Don’t miss out on this coastal adventure filled with amazing views, great company, and lasting memories!
Pricing & Inclusions
- The Participant price covers the cost of food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
- The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnnys Place.
- Bookings close one day before the activity unless sold out prior.
- Please refer to our Cancellation Policy prior to booking.
Shuttles
Johnny H Nepean Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to match the rest of the group.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities and for those held inside Johnny’s Place, at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
