Get ready for an invigorating day out on this scenic road trip to Wiseman’s Ferry.
Whether you’re a nature lover, a photography enthusiast, or just in need of a refreshing getaway, you can expect breathtaking views, a relaxing BBQ, and plenty of exploration.
Event Highlights:
- Scenic Drive and Hawkins Lookout: Our journey begins with a picturesque drive, stopping at Hawkins Lookout for stunning views of the river and rugged landscapes. It’s a great spot for morning tea and photography.
- Explore Wiseman’s Ferry: Arrive at the quaint village of Wiseman’s Ferry, where you can enjoy river views, explore local attractions, or simply relax by the water.
- BBQ Lunch: Settle in for a tasty BBQ at Wiseman’s Ferry Park. We’ll be grilling sausages and sizzle steak, accompanied by fresh rolls and a variety of snacks including fruit and drinks.
- Flexible Exploration: Spend your afternoon enjoying the serene environment. You can choose to picnic, take leisurely walks along the scenic tracks, or just soak up the peaceful atmosphere.
This road trip to Wiseman’s Ferry is an excellent opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy good food, and create lasting memories with fellow adventurers.
Getting There: We’ll travel by bus from Johnny’s Place. Shuttle bus transport is available to and from Johnny’s Place.
What to Bring: Comfortable shoes, hat, water bottle, and sunscreen.
Price includes lunch and snacks, other personal expenses are not included.
Pricing & Inclusions
- The Participant price covers the cost of food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
- The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnnys Place.
- Bookings close one day before the activity unless sold out prior.
- Please refer to our Cancellation Policy prior to booking.
Shuttles
Johnny H Nepean Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the NSW Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to match the rest of the group.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities and for those held inside Johnny’s Place, at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
