Embark on an unforgettable journey through New Zealand’s North Island, a land of stunning landscapes, rich Maori culture, and thrilling adventures. Over 11 days and 10 nights, this tour offers a blend of adventure, local culture and natural beauty with a range of unforgettable activities. From the historic Bay of Islands in the north to the vibrant streets of Auckland in the south, each day offers a new adventure and a deeper understanding of this unique region.
Day 1: Departure from Sydney
Board your direct flight from Sydney and prepare for an exciting adventure.
Day 2: Arrival in Paihia
Arrive in the serene town of Paihia, a gateway to the spectacular Bay of Islands. Check into your accommodation and enjoy some leisure time to explore the local area.
Day 3: Bay of Islands Cruise
Set sail on a cruise through the Bay of Islands, renowned for its historical significance and stunning natural beauty. Spot dolphins and visit the famous Hole in the Rock.
Day 4: Paihia to Hamilton
Travel south to Hamilton, a city known for its vibrant arts scene and beautiful river walks. Overnight in Hamilton, enjoying local cuisine and hospitality.
Day 5: Explore Waitomo Caves
Tour the mesmerising Waitomo Caves, famous for their glowworm-lit grottoes. Experience the thrill of an underground boat ride beneath thousands of twinkling glow worms.
Day 6: Hamilton to Taupo
Continue to Taupo, a picturesque town beside New Zealand’s largest lake. Afternoon free to explore local attractions such as Huka Falls.
Day 7: Adventure Day in Taupo
Kickstart your day with zorbing at Velocity Valley, an exhilarating experience unique to New Zealand. Free time in the afternoon for optional activities or relaxing by the lake.
Day 8: Taupo to Rotorua
Head to Rotorua, a geothermal wonderland. Join a Rotorua Canopy Tour for an eco-adventure through ancient forests. Visit a kiwi hatchery to learn about New Zealand’s national bird.
Day 9: Rotorua Geothermal and Cultural Experience
Indulge in a geothermal spa session, soaking in rejuvenating mud baths. Explore Skyline Rotorua for spectacular views and adventure activities.
Day 10: Rotorua to Auckland via Hobbiton
Journey to Auckland, stopping en route at Hobbiton, the movie set of the Shire from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. Explore the enchanting village with a guided tour.
Day 11: Auckland Highlights
Experience the All Blacks Experience, a tribute to New Zealand’s rugby heritage.Visit WETA Workshop for a behind-the-scenes look at movie magic. Conclude with breathtaking views from the top of the Sky Tower before heading to the airport for your return flight to Sydney.

Pricing & Inclusions
The Participant price covers the cost of airfares, food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs. This cost is subject to change: if there is a change in final pricing of +/- 5% this price will be adjusted.
The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Sydney Airport International Terminal. The NDIS price shown is based on July 2023 pricing. This price will be adjusted based on revised Jul2024 pricing once available.
The Non Face to Face price is based on 18 travellers and July 2023 pricing. This price will adjusted based on the revised July 2024 pricing and the final number of travellers.
The final ratio of the client booking will be determined by an individual assessment to determine the level of support the individual will require to participate in the trip uncompromised.
Bookings close one week before the activity unless sold out prior.

Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to match the rest of the group.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for Global Adventures at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:4.
