Wednesday – Life Skills: Travel Training & Social Connection

Wednesdays help participants build the skills they need to move safely and confidently through the community. The afternoon offers fun, social activities that encourage communication and friendly competition.

Morning Focus – Life Skills: Travel Training

The morning session teaches practical skills for getting around safely and independently. Participants learn how to read simple maps, recognise local landmarks, plan routes, and use public transport. Sessions may involve supervised community outings to practise catching a bus, using pedestrian crossings, talking to transport staff or navigating busy areas with confidence. The focus is on safety, independence and positive community participation.

Afternoon Focus – Bingo, Trivia and Communication Games

The afternoon offers a mix of interactive games designed to build social confidence. Bingo and trivia sessions support turn-taking, listening, memory and problem-solving, while communication games help participants practise speaking, asking questions and expressing ideas in a relaxed, fun setting. These sessions encourage teamwork and are a great way to unwind after a morning out in the community.
