Social Media & Computer Safety

Tuesdays focus on building safe and responsible technology use while supporting physical wellbeing through structured swimming activities.

Morning Focus

The morning session centres on social media and computer safety. Participants learn how to protect personal information, including keeping passwords, photos and private details secure. Sessions explore how to recognise online risks such as cyberbullying, scams and fake accounts, while building understanding of respectful and appropriate online behaviour.

Participants also develop awareness of privacy settings and how to control who can view their content. The aim is to increase confidence when using technology while encouraging safe decision-making and understanding that digital actions can have lasting impacts.

Afternoon Focus

The afternoon session focuses on health and wellbeing through swimming. Participants engage in structured hydrotherapy or swimming activities that support physical wellbeing in a low-impact environment. Hydrotherapy helps improve strength, flexibility, balance and relaxation while being gentle on the body. Participants also develop coordination, endurance and body awareness through guided activities tailored to individual needs.

PM Alternative: Yoga / Dance / Games

On selected weeks, participants may take part in yoga, dance or group games as an alternative to swimming. These activities support movement, coordination and social engagement in a supportive and inclusive setting.
