Health, Wellbeing and Managing Self
Wednesdays focus on building understanding of personal wellbeing while developing skills to manage emotions, behaviour and daily routines.
Morning Focus
The morning session centres on health and wellbeing, with a focus on managing self. Participants explore strategies to recognise emotions, regulate behaviour and build positive daily habits. Activities may include guided discussions, simple mindfulness exercises and practical strategies to support self-awareness and independence.
On a fortnightly basis, participants will also engage with Nepean Therapy Dogs. These sessions support emotional regulation, reduce anxiety and provide a calm, supportive environment to build confidence and connection.
Afternoon Focus
The afternoon session focuses on a centre-based craft project. Participants engage in structured creative activities that support focus, patience and task completion. Projects may be individual or group-based and are designed to encourage routine, independence and a sense of achievement.
