Join us for an unforgettable weekend away in the stunning Blue Mountains! We’ll stay at a resort, exploring the breathtaking landscapes, visiting Scenic World, and discovering charming local towns of Leura and Katoomba. This trip offers a fantastic opportunity to bond with friends, immerse yourself in nature, and build confidence while enjoying the great outdoors.
What to Expect
Scenic World Adventure: Experience the stunning views of the Blue Mountains from Scenic World. Take a ride on the Scenic Railway, the steepest passenger railway in the world, and marvel at the breathtaking vistas of the Three Sisters and Jamison Valley. The scenic cableway offers a different perspective, gliding smoothly above the treetops and revealing the majestic landscapes below.
Charming Mountain Towns: Wander through the picturesque towns of Katoomba and Leura, known for their quaint shops, cosy cafes, and beautiful gardens. Enjoy a leisurely stroll, indulge in some shopping, and take in the unique charm these towns have to offer.
Resort Accommodation: Quality accommodation set amongst four and a half acres of tall trees and beautiful gardens on the doorstep of the stunning Blue Mountains. We’ll make use of the BBQ facilities and outdoor kitchen, as well as garden walks, a fitness room, garden chess, table tennis, and the solar heated outdoor swimming pool!
Iconic Landmarks: Visit the iconic Three Sisters rock formation and learn about their significance in Aboriginal culture. Capture stunning photographs and take in the breathtaking views from Echo Point, a perfect spot to relax and reflect on the natural beauty surrounding you.
Hydro Majestic Hotel: Enjoy a visit to the historic Hydro Majestic Hotel, perched on the edge of the Megalong Valley. Discover its rich history, breathtaking views, and elegant architecture. The hotel’s ambiance is the perfect backdrop for a group gathering, fostering connections and creating lasting memories.

We will catch up with our Nepean Johnny H friends to build those connections.

Participants will have the chance to make choices about their activities and interactions, enhancing their decision-making skills.
Sense of Inclusion: Being part of a group encourages feelings of inclusion and support. Participants will have the chance to engage with peers and staff, ensuring everyone feels valued and included throughout the weekend.

The price includes accommodation, activities, and meals as described. Other personal expenses are not included.
Pricing & Inclusions
The Participant price covers the cost of all accomodation food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnny’s Place.
Bookings close one week before the activity unless sold out prior.

Shuttles
Johnny H Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the NSW Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to that required to actively participate in this event.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
