Enjoy a vibrant city escape to Sydney CBD to experience the spectacular Vivid Sydney light festival and the acclaimed The Lion King musical live at the Capitol Theatre. This trip combines iconic Sydney sights, cultural experiences and a comfortable overnight stay.
What to Expect
Day 1
We’ll meet at Johnny’s Place Nepean, enjoying lunch at the Johnny H Centre before departing for the city. After lunch, we’ll catch the train from Penrith into the Sydney CBD. In the afternoon, enjoy some relaxed time before heading out at sunset to explore the Vivid Sydney light displays around Circular Quay using trams and walking through the harbour precinct.
Day 2
After breakfast, we’ll spend the morning exploring the city before catching a ferry across Sydney Harbour to Manly. In the evening, we’ll head to the Capitol Theatre to see the spectacular The Lion King musical, with dinner in the city before the show.
Day 3
After breakfast, we’ll visit the Queen Victoria Building and Town Hall area before catching the train back to Penrith. We’ll stop for a quick lunch in the city before catching the train back to the Johnny H Centre, arriving at the in the afternoon.
A memorable short break featuring Sydney’s famous lights festival, world class theatre and shared cultural experiences in a supportive and social setting.

Pricing & Inclusions
The Participant price covers the cost of all accomodation food/drinks and any entry/activity costs as outlined in the activity description.
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due within 7 days of booking. The remainder of the participant cost is due prior to travel. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy prior to booking.
The NDIS cost covers the cost of support only and is subject to the standard NDIS cancellation terms.
The Non Face to Face estimate is based on 9 travellers and July 2025 pricing. This price will be adjusted based the final number of travellers.
Bookings close one week before the trip unless sold out prior.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* Participation in any activity is subject to an individual risk assessment to ensure safety and suitability. The required level of support, including client-to-worker ratios, will be determined based on the client’s needs and the nature of the activity.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the NSW Department of Health.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to match the rest of the group.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities and for those held inside Johnny’s Place, at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
