Prepare for a striking competition with the Johnny H Grading Bowling Challenge! This dynamic bowling event not only tests your individual prowess on the lanes but also sets the stage for championship events later on. Here’s your guide to mastering the game and securing your spot in the championship:
Event Overview:
- Individual Bowling Grading Challenge: Showcase your bowling skills and earn a Johnny H Graded Score for consideration in upcoming championship events.
- Johnny H Graded Score: Your personal benchmark, calculated from a minimum of 2 rounds (4 games) played before the competition’s start. Fine-tune your performance to gain a competitive edge.
- Grading Period: Three rounds in February and March are dedicated to obtaining your Johnny H Graded Score, a critical element for future championships.
- Regional Grading Competition: Compete in the final regional competition, where the champion is determined by the player with the highest combined scores from their top 6 Johnny H Graded rounds. Every additional round enhances your chances of improving your standing.
- Eligibility Criteria: To qualify, complete a minimum of 6 rounds (12 games), excluding those played for your initial Johnny H adjustment.
- Competition Duration: The challenge commences in April and concludes in September with at least 10 rounds. Each round is an opportunity to enhance your score and climb the ranks.
- Late Entrants Welcome: Join the challenge midway through the year; your first 2 rounds (4 games) establish your Johnny H Graded Score, with subsequent rounds contributing to your overall competition score.
- National Bowling Championship: The pinnacle of the competition! Top players from each region secure invitations to the first-ever Johnny H National Bowling Championship in December. This 3-day championship playoff determines not only the national champion but also the regional champions.

- Johnny H Graded Score: Your individual benchmark, derived from two rounds of bowling.
- Round: Each scheduled occurrence of bowling on the calendar, consisting of 2 games.

Price includes lunch at Johnnys Place and two games of bowling whilst other personal expenses are not included.
Pricing & Inclusions
The Participant price covers the cost of food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnnys Place.
Bookings close one day before the activity unless sold out prior.

Shuttles
Johnny H Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to that required to actively participate in this event.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
