The objective of this unit is to equip clients with essential life skills, workplace readiness, and strategies for adapting to different professional environments. This program focuses on teamwork, problem-solving, personal development, and workplace safety. Clients will also explore important life skills such as food handling, water safety, and emotional resilience to support independent living and professional success.

What You Will Learn

  • Working in Groups – Develop collaboration skills, understand group dynamics, and learn how to contribute effectively in team settings.
  • Teamwork – Explore the principles of working together, managing different perspectives, and building strong workplace relationships.
  • Time Management – Learn strategies for prioritising tasks, staying organised, and managing time effectively in both personal and professional life.
  • Bunnings Gardening Workshop – Engage in a hands-on gardening experience to develop responsibility, patience, and an understanding of environmental care.

Note: Activities in this unit may be adapted to meet individual needs. Accommodations such as 1:1 support, peer collaboration, and additional time can be arranged to ensure a supportive and accessible learning experience.

All clients attending Work Readiness are required to bring prepared food for breaks, including lunch, unless otherwise noted when booking.

* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the NSW Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.

Pricing & Inclusions

The NDIS price will be updated when the new price guide is released in July 2025.

The NDIS price covers the duration of the term and will be arranged through a Program of Supports.

Participants are required to supply their own lunch.
