Discover the flavours of China at our Cook Chinese Favourites event! This hands-on workshop is perfect for anyone who loves Chinese cuisine and wants to learn how to create some iconic dishes from scratch. Whether you’re new to cooking or a seasoned home chef, you’ll pick up new skills and delicious recipes to recreate at home.
What to Expect
Master Chinese Classics: Learn to cook a variety of popular Chinese dishes, from stir-fries to dumplings, guided by our expert chef.
Interactive Cooking Experience: Enjoy a fun and social hands-on cooking session where you’ll get to try your hand at different techniques, share tips, and enjoy the process of cooking together.
Flavour-Packed Lunch: After the workshop, sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labour with a delicious lunch featuring all the dishes you’ve prepared.
Take-Home Recipes: Leave with the knowledge and recipes to recreate these tasty dishes anytime you want to bring a bit of Chinese flavour to your kitchen.
Join us for a culinary adventure at Johnny’s Place and learn to cook some of your favourite Chinese dishes!
Price includes the cooking workshop and lunch. Other personal expenses are not included.
Inclusions
The Participant price covers the cost of food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
Bookings close one day before the activity unless sold out prior.

Shuttles
Johnny H Nepean Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the NSW Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to match the rest of the group.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities and for those held inside Johnny’s Place, at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
