Wednesday: Travel Training & World of Work
Morning – Travel Training
Gain the confidence to get where you need to go safely and independently. This session focuses on practical travel training, including how to plan routes, read timetables, and use public transport confidently. You’ll also learn how to manage social interactions in the community, make safe choices, and problem-solve unexpected situations.
Activities support community participation and independence, helping you feel comfortable navigating different environments – whether that’s travelling to work, study, or social outings.

Who is this for?
The Johnny H Work Readiness Program is designed for people aged 16 and over who are looking to build the skills, confidence and independence needed to prepare for meaningful employment.
This program is ideal for school leavers who want to explore different job pathways, develop real-world skills, and gain a better understanding of work environments.
Sessions run in small, supportive groups and are tailored to meet individual learning needs. Whether you’re just beginning to think about work or already have some experience, this program helps you grow your capacity and take the next steps at your own pace.
We do our best to minimise any changes but plans may be forced to change due to external staffing, school holiday programming and adverse weather.
