Join us for a relaxing and fun-filled day out fishing on Currumbin Creek, Gold Coast. Enjoy the peaceful waters, learn new fishing skills, and connect with fellow fishing enthusiasts. After a rewarding morning on the creek, we’ll gather for a delicious BBQ lunch to share stories and enjoy the fresh air.
What to Expect
Fishing on Currumbin Creek: Experience the tranquillity and beauty of Currumbin Creek while honing your fishing skills and trying to catch a variety of fish.
Learning New Skills: Whether you’re a novice or an experienced angler, this outing offers the opportunity to learn new techniques and tips from fellow participants.
Connecting with Others: Bond with friends and meet new people who share your interest in fishing, creating a supportive and enjoyable group dynamic.
BBQ Lunch: After a morning of fishing, savour a delicious BBQ lunch prepared on-site. Enjoy freshly grilled food, including the option to cook any fish you catch.
Outdoor Enjoyment: Spend the day in the great outdoors, benefiting from the fresh air, beautiful scenery, and the calming effects of nature.
Price includes fishing activity and lunch. Other personal expenses are not included.
Pricing & Inclusions
The Participant price covers the cost of food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnnys Place.
Bookings close one day before the activity unless sold out prior.

Shuttles
Johnny H Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to match the rest of the group.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities and for those held inside Johnny’s Place, at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
