The Supanova Comic and Gaming Convention at Sydney Showground is a comprehensive event that appeals to a wide audience, from serious gamers and comic enthusiasts to those who simply enjoy pop culture.
It caters to fans of comics, sci-fi, fantasy, and gaming, providing a diverse array of activities ranging from panels and signings to cosplay and gaming competitions.
What to Expect:
Q&A with Celebrity Guests: Hear from notable figures from popular comics, movies, TV shows, and games at Q&A sessions about their contributions to pop culture.
Cosplay Competitions: Either participate in or watch the cosplay competition, a central feature of the convention where attendees dress as their favourite characters. Prizes are given for standout costumes.
Merchandise Stalls: Explore a variety of merchandise such as comic books, collectibles, clothing, and artwork, providing a great opportunity to find unique items or new reading material.

Good to Know
- The Participant price covers the cost of food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
- The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnnys Place.
- Bookings close one day before the activity unless sold out prior.
- Please refer to our Cancellation Policy prior to booking.
Shuttles
Johnny H Nepean Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to match the rest of the group.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities and for those held inside Johnny’s Place, at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
