Come and Cook
Learn to build your capacity in the kitchen and to prepare and cook lunch to be shared within the group. You will learn to put together a shopping list within a budget, read a recipe and shop for the ingredients. We will also learn about hygiene and food safety, knife skills, and how to prepare ingredients. We will make the meal and enjoy it as a group.

Over the course of the term, each day we will incorporate a range of life skills into our activities:

- Literacy and Numeracy
- Personal Safety
We do our best to minimise any changes but plans may be forced to change due to external staffing, school holiday programming and adverse weather.
Pricing & Inclusions
A fee of $10 includes morning and afternoon tea as well as lunch which is prepared by the participants (where suitable) as part of their personal development.
The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnny’s Place.
Bookings can be made at any time during the term.

Shuttles
The Johnny H shuttle bus is available for this program, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. Do you wish to suggest a stop that’s not in there – call us on 1300 053 001.
Please note:
* This program is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to that required to actively participate in this event.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3, which will be invoiced at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
