Tuesday: Managing Self, Money Management and Health and Wellbeing
Tuesdays combine practical money skills with a focus on health and fitness. The day supports participants to make informed choices with money and to enjoy regular physical activity or centre-based cooking.
Morning Focus: Managing Self, Money Management
The morning session builds real-life money skills. Participants learn to recognise coins and notes, understand how debit cards work and practise simple budgeting. Activities may include planning a small weekly spend, sorting money into categories or talking about saving towards a personal goal. The aim is to increase confidence when using money at home and in the community.
Afternoon Focus: Health and Wellbeing, Gym Session
In the afternoon, the group attends a supervised gym session. Participants take part in a guided program that may include light weights, mobility exercises and cardio equipment such as bikes or treadmills. The focus is on safe movement, following instructions and building strength, fitness and confidence in a supportive setting. Sessions are adapted to suit individual abilities and encourage positive attitudes towards regular exercise.
PM Alternative: Cooking in Centre
For participants who do not wish to attend the gym, a centre-based cooking session is offered. This focuses on simple recipes, safe food handling and working together to prepare and share food.
