The Lowdown
Immerse yourself in the festive spirit with a two-night city stay in Sydney this December, just in time for Christmas. Departing from Canberra by bus on Friday 13 December and returning on Sunday 15 December, you’ll stay in centrally located accommodation, perfect for exploring the city’s holiday magic.
We’ll join forces with our Penrith friends to enjoy the sparkling Christmas tree at Martin Place, savour a delightful dinner in the city, admire the enchanting Christmas displays at Myer and David Jones, shop for gifts for loved ones, and stroll through the historic charm of The Rocks.
What to Expect
Christmas Tree at Martin Place: Marvel at the dazzling Christmas tree adorned with twinkling lights, a spectacular sight that captures the essence of the holiday season.
City Dinner: Indulge in a delicious dinner at one of Sydney’s many fantastic restaurants, experiencing the city’s vibrant culinary scene.
Christmas Displays: Be enchanted by the elaborate and festive window displays at Myer and David Jones, bringing holiday stories and themes to life.
Gift Shopping: Take the opportunity to buy unique and thoughtful gifts for family and friends, with plenty of shopping options throughout the city.
The Rocks: Explore the historic area of The Rocks, with its charming cobblestone streets, festive markets, and a delightful Christmas atmosphere.
Social Inclusion: Meet new friends from our Johnny H community in Penrith and enjoy getting to know them over the two days away.

The price includes accommodation, activities, and meals as described. Other personal expenses are not included.
Pricing & Inclusions
The Participant price covers the cost of all accomodation food/drinks as outlined in the activity description and any entry/activity costs.
The NDIS price includes support and return transport from Johnny’s Place.
Bookings close one week before the activity unless sold out prior.

Shuttles
Johnny H Shuttles will be available for this event, simply just choose your transport option when booking. Shuttle time and cost will be calculated according to your pick up / drop off point. The cost of the shuttle service is not included in the published predicted NDIS cost. More information about our shuttle service can be found here.
Please note:
* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the NSW Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
* Funding will be calculated based on the final attendance numbers and the individual support required to increase the capacity of the individual making the booking to that required to actively participate in this event.
* We predict and aim for a ratio of 1:3 for community-based activities at the rate set out in the current NDIS price guide.
* Final ratios will fall between 1:2 and 1:5.
