Friday Program
Friday’s session focuses on Workplace Expectations, helping clients develop the knowledge and skills needed for effective participation in a professional environment. This unit covers workplace rights, responsibilities, appropriate behaviour, and conduct to ensure clients feel confident and prepared for employment.
Workplace Expectations
The objective of this unit is to provide clients with a clear understanding of what is expected in the workplace. Clients will learn about their rights and responsibilities, workplace conduct, and how to navigate professional settings effectively. This unit builds on existing skills, ensuring clients are equipped for real-world work environments.
What You Will Learn
- Understanding Workplace Expectations: Learn what employers look for in an employee and how to meet professional standards.
- Employee Rights & Responsibilities: Gain knowledge about workplace rights, fair treatment, and personal responsibilities in a job setting.
- Workplace Conduct & Behaviour: Understand professional behaviour, including communication, teamwork, and attitude.
- Following Workplace Policies: Learn about company policies, health and safety regulations, and ethical practices.
- Handling Workplace Challenges: Develop strategies for dealing with conflicts, feedback, and stressful situations.
- Professional Communication: Improve workplace communication, including email etiquette, speaking with colleagues, and working with supervisors.
- Reliability & Work Ethic: Understand the importance of punctuality, accountability, and maintaining a strong work ethic.

Note: Activities in this unit may be adapted to meet individual needs. Accommodations, such as 1:1 support, working with peers, and additional time, can be arranged to ensure a supportive and accessible learning experience.
All clients attending this program are required to bring prepared food for breaks, including lunch, unless otherwise noted when booking.

* This event is designed for active participants with a mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disability.
* This event will be conducted in compliance with COVID safe practices and any vaccination requirements as outlined by the NSW Department of Health.
* Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
Pricing & Inclusions
The NDIS price will be updated when the new price guide is released in July 2025.
The NDIS price covers the duration of the term and will be arranged through a Program of Supports.
Participants can bring their own lunch or enjoy a meal prepared in-house for a small fee.
