Monday – Bunnings North Penrith
Bunnings is the leading retailer of home improvement and lifestyle products in Australia and New Zealand, supporting both everyday customers and professional trades. A visit to Bunnings North Penrith offers participants the chance to experience the scale of a busy retail environment that plays an essential role in the housing and construction industries.
Throughout the day, participants will tour the store, meet team members from different departments, and see firsthand how a large retailer operates. They’ll gain insight into the wide variety of roles on offer, from customer service and stock control to trade sales and specialised product knowledge. Staff will also share information about the training and development programs that support employee growth and career pathways within the business.
This visit will help participants build an understanding of employability skills valued by Bunnings and similar workplaces, including teamwork, communication, and safety awareness. They will also learn about stock management processes, workplace safety practices, and the steps involved in applying for vacancies.

Essential Information
Participants are required to bring their own lunch, snacks and water bottle.
Wear smart casual clothing and enclosed shoes (no active wear or track pants).
Transport will be provided from Johnny’s Place to and from the business.
The NDIS price covers the cost for that day and will be arranged through a Program of Supports.
The NDIS price covers support only. Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
For those who bring their own meals, please be aware that we are a nut-free centre – for the health and safety of all participants, please avoid bringing foods that contain nuts.
