Tuesday – JAX Tyres & Auto, Penrith
JAX Tyres & Auto is a trusted name in automotive care, specialising in the sales and service of tyres, wheels, brakes, and suspension. With more than 90 franchised stores nationwide, the company has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship, expert advice, and outstanding customer service. A visit to the Penrith store will provide participants with a close look at how an automotive service business runs day-to-day.
Participants will tour the workshop and retail areas to see how products and services are delivered to customers. They’ll observe safety practices in a busy mechanical environment, learn about the stock control processes that keep essential parts on hand, and discover the career pathways available through JAX’s structured training and development programs.
This experience will give participants an understanding of the employability skills needed to work in both customer-facing and technical roles, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and practical automotive knowledge. It will also provide valuable guidance on how to apply for vacancies within JAX Tyres & Auto and across the wider automotive industry.

Essential Information
Participants are required to bring their own lunch, snacks and water bottle.
Wear smart casual clothing and enclosed shoes (no active wear or track pants).
Transport will be provided from Johnny’s Place to and from the business.
The NDIS price covers the cost for that day and will be arranged through a Program of Supports.
The NDIS price covers support only. Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
For those who bring their own meals, please be aware that we are a nut-free centre – for the health and safety of all participants, please avoid bringing foods that contain nuts.
