Wednesday – Trans Vent Spiral Tubing, Penrith
This visit offers participants the chance to explore the manufacturing industry with Trans Vent Spiral Tubing in Penrith. Manufacturing plays a vital role in Australia’s economy, providing products and components for a wide range of sectors. A workplace tour will introduce participants to the different areas of a manufacturing operation, from production processes through to stock control and customer fulfilment.
During the visit, participants will meet with staff to learn about the various roles available in a manufacturing environment, the skills required to succeed, and the safety procedures that keep workers protected. Insights into workplace training programs will also be shared, along with practical guidance on how to apply for vacancies in the industry.
This experience will highlight both the hands-on and operational aspects of manufacturing, giving participants a clearer picture of the career pathways available and the employability skills most valued by employers.

Essential Information
Participants are required to bring their own lunch, snacks and water bottle.
Wear smart casual clothing and enclosed shoes (no active wear or track pants).
Transport will be provided from Johnny’s Place to and from the business.
The NDIS price covers the cost for that day and will be arranged through a Program of Supports.
The NDIS price covers support only. Johnny H can only accept booking requests from those whose NDIS funds are Self or Plan Managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, please call 1300 053 001 to discuss your options.
For those who bring their own meals, please be aware that we are a nut-free centre – for the health and safety of all participants, please avoid bringing foods that contain nuts.
